A Crazy Idea

Lock-up

Developer supply is locked.

Ten percent of supply is locked. Ninety percent is in circulation. The locked slice sits in a smart contract where a third party controls the keys. The team can delay a release or shrink it. They cannot pull tokens early, and they cannot enlarge an unlock.

Circulating

90%

Ninety percent of supply is already in the market.

Developer lock

10%

Held by a third-party contract. Keys are not on the team.

What the team cannot do

  • Shorten the six-month wait between unlocks.
  • Raise an unlock above 5% of total supply.
  • Unlock while price is below 2× the last unlock print, or before that level has held for 30 days.
  • Hold the remaining supply in a wallet they control.

What they can do

Delay the unlock. Reduce the size. Skip a sale entirely. If they do not want to sell more, they do not have to. After any unlock, the clock and the price gate start over: another six months, and the price has to double again.
